Val's Vacation Rentals - Policies & Procedures
Reservations are accepted up to one year in advance, reservation dates will be confirmed. However, the possibility of circumstances beyond our control makes the guarantee of rates and properties impossible. VVR reserves the right to change property assignments if circumstances beyond our control make your reserved property unavailable. VVR will attempt to reassign you to another property of comparable features and quality. However, since each home is privately owned we cannot guarantee such.
Guests are responsible for any damages that occur during occupancy. A refundable Security Deposit is collected with each reservation. If something breaks during your visit, please notify us. Any damage to the property, furniture, furnishings, excess trash or extra cleaning, or theft is the responsibility of the guest and occupants.
You will be responsible for paying charges and fines levied by a Homeowners Association based on infractions of Association Rules and Regulations during your stay, traffic fines, or other guest expenses incurred during your stay, and if there are any violations of the rental agreement.
To avoid any additional charges, please follow the check-out list provided at each home. All keys, Key Fobs and Pool Keys must be left in the home. Key replacement fee is $100 and will be charged to the Guest.
If the reservation is cancelled 90 days or more prior to arrival, your money will be refunded in full. If cancellation is 60 days or more prior to arrival, your money will be refunded less a $50 cancellation fee. If cancellation is within 59 days prior to arrival, the full rent and processing fees, less the cleaning fees and sales tax, will be forfeited.

When selecting your vacation home, please carefully observe the number of people the property sleeps. Each vacation home has a maximum occupancy as established by the applicable City Short Term Rental Ordinance (i.e. Anaheim, San Clemente, etc). You must register the number and names of guests occupying the property when completing the reservation documents. Children are included in the total occupancy. Undisclosed guests and/or excess guests are considered serious violations of your lease/reservation agreement and may result in a charge against your security deposit, and immediate termination of occupancy without refund.
RENTAL PROPERTIES ARE FOR FAMILY VACATIONS/BUSINESS TRAVELERS
VVR rents our homes to families and/or responsible adults over the age of 25 years old. VVR has a “no group” policy which includes but is not limited to wedding receptions, spring break, graduations, receptions. VVR may approve at the time of reservation and at our discretion to rent to groups, but you must disclose at the time or reservation and an additional security deposit may apply. Absolutely no parties, events or receptions. VVR represents a few homes which may be appropriate for a small family gathering. Such gatherings must be approved prior to arrival and may require an additional security or cleaning fee. Please consult us for further information.
TERMINATION OF RENTAL
VVR reserves the right to refund rents, refuse rental, or terminate occupancy if, in our discretion, the occupancy may be or is detrimental to the property. NO REFUND will be given if occupancy was obtained under false pretenses or is terminated due to violation of our rental regulations or City and/or Homeowners Association rules.
CONSIDERATION OF NEIGHBORS
Our homes are operated in full cooperation with the ‘GOOD NEIGHBOR Policy(ies)” in our individual Cities. Most of our vacation homes are located next to residences of full-time occupants. Please be aware of this and be considerate with the noise level of your group. Each City and/or Homeowners Association has specific “Quiet Times” which are strictly enforced. In Anaheim, Guests must be out of the Pool/Spa and Backyard by 10:00 p.m. No Noise, Swimming/Spa or outdoor play between 10:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. Please make sure you are aware of the NO NOISE POLICY where your home is located. Unruly or loud guest behavior may result in a fine charged against your Security Deposit, a Citation from the City/Homeowners Association and /or immediate termination of occupancy without refund.
We provide a basic supply of bed and bath linens in each home (sheets on each bed, towel and washcloth for each person up to the property capacity, and hand towel in each bath. Should you require extra linen, you should bring them or launder during your stay. We do offer an add-on Extra Towel and/or Bedding package for $10 which includes 2 bath towels, 2 washcloths and 1 hand towel. Some beach/pool towels are included. However, there are not enough to equal 1 per guest to capacity. If you would like additional pool/beach towels please contact us for the add-on Beach Towel package.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY AND PARKING CAPACITY
Occupancy and parking limits are set and published for for every unit property. VVR strictly enforces these limits. Only passenger vehicles are permitted at our homes. NO RV’s, Boats, Recreational Vehicles, Trailers are permitted at ANY HOME. Some homes
VVR makes every effort to carefully maintain all vacation rentals and the equipment therein. Just like in your own home, however, unexpected and/or untimely failures of equipment and appliances may occur. If something is not working properly, please call our office and report the problem. We will make a reasonable effort to have repairs done quickly and efficiently, and we ask for your patience and understanding in the interim. If a service technician is called and find the equipment is in working order and the problem is due to guest oversight or neglect, the service call fee may be the responsibility of the guest. We cannot guarantee the condition of televisions, VCRs, stereos, appliances, or other equipment, or the condition of pools and hot tubs/spas in condominium complexes. Guest understands that VVR may enter the home for the purpose of making needed repairs.
Abuse and negligent use of toilets, sinks, tubs/showers and garbage disposals may cause blockages. Garbage disposals are fragile, nothing larger than bread crumbs should be put into the disposal. Any blockage due to mis-use on the part of the guest may be the responsibility of the guest and charges to repair may be deducted from the security deposit.
No refund or rate adjustment will be made for mechanical failure of any kind. Our policy is not to make refunds, but to respond quickly.
LISTINGS AND PRICING
Guests are responsible for reviewing the property description, photos, location and amenities listing online for each property to confirm that it will meet the needs of your group. Information is believed to be accurate but cannot be guaranteed. We make every effort to make sure the information in our website is accurate and current. The possibility of errors and omissions exists. Please confirm any data contained herein and feel free to ask any questions which may be of concern to you. Rates for holidays, special events, and weekends may be higher and minimum stays may vary. Rates, furnishings, fees and taxes are subject to change without notice.
Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and or rental money. The Part will not be allowed to check in or will be vacated from the property.
CONSTRUCTION NEAR YOUR RENTAL
Orange County is a growing area. Although not likely, there may be a chance of construction near your rental property. Noise and altered views due to construction are beyond our control.
Quiet time in our homes is between 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. In Anaheim Quiet Time is between 10:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. Any loud and unreasonable noise during these hours may result in a fine, loss of rent, Security Deposit, Cleaning and Taxes and removal from the property.
